Each unit consists of 3 rooms: a living and sleeping area (equipped with a cat perching platform), a litter box area and feeding or hiding area.An optional common area unit comes in two sizes one that works with 2 stacks high and the other that works with 3 stacks high. Giving cats’ extra space for them to climb and play and share time with other cats. Two cat Doors come standard in each Cat StaX unit allowing access to the litter box area and feeding area. Extra cat doors are provided for the optional common area. These doors can be locked to prevent the cat from entering the feeding or litter areas during cleaning while also (allowing or denying them access to this commons area depending on how well they mix with other cats.) providing a barrier from the common area if necessary. In addition, they can easily be removed for training purposes or easy access to other rooms if the cat has an issue operating the door. Our Cat StaX are made of a durable, easy to clean laminate finish with a powder coated wire mesh door for healthy air circulation. The tempered glass doors come with a damper hinge to prevent the door from slamming and have gaps to give the cats air flow and light. Yet still allows for some privacy for the litter box and feeding and hiding area. The magnetic latch and hasps are trouble-free and easy to operate with one hand.
